Facts about Narrabeen Beach

  • Narrabeen is surrounded by the following five suburbs: North Narrabeen, Warriewood, Wheeler Heights, Collaroy and Collaroy Plateau.

 

  • Narrabeen Beach is one of Australia’s iconic surfing and swimming beaches with Narrabeen Beach Surf Life Saving Club located in the centre of the beach.

 

  • Narrabeen Beach is mentioned in the Beach Boys song Surfin’ USA.

 

  • The Sydney Academy of Sport and Recreation is based in Narrabeen and is the headquarters of the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles National Rugby League team.

 

  • Narrabeen houses a Lagoon which is one of the Northern Beaches greatest natural assets and is a haven for wildlife. It’s a place where you can go bushwalking and enjoy numerous water sports.

 

  • Narrabeen is located 23 kilometres north-east of Sydney CBD and is part of the Northern Beaches region.

  • North Narrabeen SLSC is at the end of Malcolm Street, off Ocean Street. Birdwood Park is alongside, lots of grassy space to play in and a small playground, in need of an upgrade.
